Michelle Perkett's Love Letter Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to Michelle Perkett's LOVE LETTER BLOG HOP! We are celebrating Valentines day by writing a special love letter to the love of our lives! It can be your husband, boyfriend, mother, sister, daughter or son, or a loved one who is no longer with us. I chose my Mother who is no longer with us, she is now an Angel in heaven and watches over me from up above. I am sending her my love and my poem so she knows I am thinking of her today and everyday! If you got here from Jenn Dove's site then you are in the right place. If not then start at the beginning here at Michelle's Blogspot. I hope you enjoy all of the entries and leave a comment so that we know you were there. Here are my creations for this Blog Hop Challenge. I am also entering this creation to The Diecut Dreams Challenge because their theme this week is "Have a Heart"...

I made a mailbox and a card and put my own poem inside my card. The image is from Michelle Perkett called "Love Letter Fairy" who is flying all around the world delivering love letters. Isn't she adorable? I created my own template for my mailbox and used double sided papers from K & Company called Smitten. I used my Martha Stewart lace border punch to decorate the end of my mailbox that opens. The heart flag on my mailbox actually goes up or down depending on if there is mail. Here you see it up because my poem to my Mother is inside. I used similar papers for my card. The base of my card is red and I added some gold mesh fabric to give the background some sparkle. I colored my image using Adobe Fireworks CS4. I added some hearts, glitter, gems, pink organza ribbon and a red heart hat pin with a Swarovski crystal on it. I created my poem using Microsoft Word and found a photo that I took of a red rose. Using Adobe Photoshop I inserted my poem in to the red rose. Please leave me a comment and let me know how I did and you can vote for me at the end of the blog. Now on to the next blogspot which is Marias's. If you loose your way here is the complete list. I know it is a long one but it will be worth the trip on the Love Boat!!!

You're Purrfect!!!

Hello again everyone... I have another creation for today and this one is for the following challenges:
  1. A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge...provided the sketch
  2. Diecut Dreams Challenge...Theme is to use red & black with love
  3. Papertake Weekly Challenge...Theme is love
  4. La La Land Challenge...Theme is to use hearts
  5. Allsorts Challenge...Theme is Get distressed with buttons and a bow
My papers are from my stash and my image is mine and her name is PattieBoop and she is here with her cat named Allie. I had a lot of fun with this creation because the images are my own drawings and they are copyrighted. One of these days I will get to working on more. I used my Cuttlebug machine to emboss several of my papers and I used sandpaper to distress the black cardstock. I added buttons, a bow, a double silver heart charm, some red fringe ribbon, glitter and a few silver cabachon gems. So how did I do?

Thinking of You

Hello everyone... I have a new creation for you today and this one is for The Friday Sketchers Challenge, Crafty Creations Challenge & The Color Dare Challenge. Friday Sketchers provided the sketch. Color Dare provided the color theme and Crafty Creations theme is WINGS. I just love the color combination on this one! My image is from TimTim.com and I colored it using Adobe Fireworks CS4. I used different papers from my stash and used my Nestabilities scallop border die, glitter glue, ribbon, a sentiment, feathers, Prima flowers, brads and 3 grey buttons fpr my embellishments.

Happy Birthday Love!

Hello everyone. I have a creation for today and this one is for Michelle's Perkett's Studio Challenge, The Sophisti-cat Challenge and The Papertake Weekly Challenge. The theme for Michelle's Challenge is to make a treat box and a tag. The Sophisti-cat Challenge and Papertake Weekly have the theme of LOVE. I used Michelle Perkett's image called Queen of Hearts and I colored her using Adobe Fireworks CS4. I created my own template for my gift bag and used my Martha Stewart flower lace border for the front flap. I added four holes and placed an organza ribbon through them to close my bag. A couple of Prima flowers, glitter glue and these cute little cupcakes completed my gift bag. This bag is perfect to give a loved one some sweet treats for a special occaision or just because! For my tag I cut out a pink heart with one of my Fiskars templates and added a smaller heart in the center of it. My image is another one from Michelle and I added two more Prima flowers, another piece of pink organza ribbon, a heart gem and some glitter. So what do you think?

Hello Bear Gift Tag

Hello everyone. Today is Monday and I have another creation for you and this one is for There's Magic In The Air Challenge and The Pink Elephant Challenge. There's Magic in the Air provided the image and they would like to see gift tags and also stitching somewhere. The Pink Elephant theme is "All About Pink". I used papers from my stash, some Prima flowers, brads, ribbon and my branch punch. Instead of using my sewing machine I decided to add the stiches using a pen. Behind my image I used one of my Cuttlebug embossing folders and cut it out with my Nestabilities scallop oval die.
