Sea Painted Acorns

Hi everyone... I just finished painting these acorns with a Beachy twist. I used Martha Stewart Pearl Paints and Liquid Pearls to get this look. I hope you like them. I also pinned them on Pinterest if you would like to see them there click HERE.
If you plan on trying this project, you should prepare the acorns by baking them at 170 degrees for about 2 hours to kill any little critters that might be living inside them... lol

Pork Chops With Hot Pepper Jelly

I was in the mood for pork chops today and wasn't sure how I wanted to make them. I bought a jar of Hot Pepper Jelly last week at a local market and thought, what a great glaze that would make on the pork chops! Here is the recipe that I came up with. I must say it was delicious! You should try it...
Pork Chops with Hot Pepper Jelly
by Patties Creations

4 pork chops, 3/4"-thick
2 tablespoons olive oil
salt and pepper, to taste
1 Tablespoon butter
1 medium red onion, thinly sliced
4 baked potatoes (left over ones or you can microwave them)
3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
1/2 cup hot pepper jelly

Salt and pepper pork chops to taste. Brown pork chops in a heavy skillet with olive oil until golden brown on both sides. Remove from pan.

Place a layer of the sliced onion and sliced baked potatoes with skins in the bottom of a butter greased baking dish. Squeeze the lime juice on top and add a drizzle of olive oil over potatoes and onions. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add the pork chops, spread the hot pepper jelly over them and put the remainder of the onions on top.

Cover baking dish with foil and bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10-15 Minutes.
