Princess Lotus Believe

Hello everyone! Well it is New Years Eve and I am looking forward to next year. I have enjoyed making these creations and posting them on my blogspot. I can't wait to start more next year. Happy New Year!

This card is for Michelle Perkett's Group Challenge. This is my very first Tri Fold Shutter Card and I had so much fun making it. Our challenge was to make a card using a different technique like stair step cards, shutter cards or one that flips or moves. I used gold metallic card stock for my base and all my images are from Michelle Perkett. My papers are from DCWV and on the front fold I used a flocked paper with Michelle's Princess Lotus image. I colored this image using Adobe Fireworks CS4 and added glitter for sparkle. I added two Prima flowers with a brad in the center along with some glitter for their stems. The center fold has another one of Michelle's images of Peace flowers which I also colored the same way. I added the words Peace, Love, Joy,Harmony and Believe to the other folds. My last fold has more of the flocked paper along with the image believe from Michelle and a few feathers. So what do you think of my first attempt at a Tri Shutter Card?

Sweets For Sweetie

Hello again everyone. I have been very busy trying to catch up on my creations the past couple of days and I have another creation to post. This one is for the following challenges:
1. There's Magic In The Air - Use one of Nina's images and possibly one for New Years with sparkle.
2. The Color Dare Challenge - Use the colors pink, brown & green.
I decided to make an easel card because I love making them and they are so easy. I chose an image that I won from Nina at TMITA called cupcake mouse and colored it using Adobe Fireworks CS4. I did not use a New Years theme but since we sometimes make New Years resolutions to give up sweets, I thought this fit the theme perfectly. My card stock is mainly from K&Company called Smitten. The colors, are from Color Dare. On the outside I used my Fiskars round lace punch for around my image, a Prima flower, glitter and 4 green cabochon gems. On the inside I used my Sizzix flower & vines die for the scrolls. I added a sentiment and a couple of cupcakes by Sandylion to complete it. So what do you think?

Alice's Tea Party

Hello everyone, I almost forgot to post this to my blogspot. This creation is for Michelle Perkett's Challenge. Michelle is starting a new blogspot with exciting challenges coming in mid January. Right now we are entering our creations to Michelle's Paper Craft Planet Group. I will be one of her Senior DT members and I am very excited because this is my first time being on a DT team. This challenge has a sketch that we were to follow and the image is Alice's Tea Party and it is one of Michelle's creations. I decided to use this image as a party invitation and I colored my image using Adobe Fireworks. I found these cute pocket watches online and colored them with my copic markers. I added some glitter, a sentiment and some gems to complete my creation. What do you think?

Happy New Year Favor

Hello everyone. I have another creation and this one is for Just Us Girls Challenge, The Cupcake Craft Challenge and Allsorts Challenge. The theme for JUGC is to use a template for your creation, The Cupcake Craft Challenge theme is "A time for celebration" and anything but a card for Allsorts. I chose one from Kelleigh Ratzlaff Designs who is the guest designer for this week at Just Us Girls and it is a pillow box. Since new Years is just around the corner I decided to make a party favor decoration for anyone who is having a party. Treat your guests with something special! Maybe a handmade bar of soap, candy, a gift card or whatever will fit in this box. I used the template for my box and cut it out using black card stock. For the front I used a piece of DCWV La Creme flocked paper. The flocked pattern was already on this paper and I just love it! I taped one end of my pillow box and left the other end open. A piece of black organza ribbon keeps it closed. I added some features, Prima Flowers, glitter, a brad and a sentiment and my creation was complete. So what do you think?
