Hoppy Birthday!!!

Today I have a new creation and this one is for The Inlinkz Challenge Blog and Crafty Catz Challenge. This is the very first challenge for Inlinkz and their theme is Boy Birthday Card and a Color Combo. The theme for Crafty Catz is "The Boyz are Back". I found this cute frog on the internet and colored him using Adobe Fireworks CS4. I used papers from my stash and tried to match the color inspirations. I think my colors match pretty good! I created my sentiment using MS Word and cut out the image and sentiment with my large nestabilities circle die. I added some Color Box Chalks around the scallops and also some stickles glitter. A piece of Rick Rack, buttons and photo corners completed my creation.

Egypt Mermaid

Hello everyone... I have another creation for today and this one is for The Sweet Pea Stampers Challenge and Crafty Creations Challenge. The theme for SPSC is a recipe using 4 patterned papers, 2 ribbons, 2 shapes and 1 button. The theme for CCC is "Choose your favorite stamp". I chose this stamp from Ching Chou Kuik's collection called Egypt Mermaid. I just love these images and I colored mine using Adobe Fireworks CS4. Most of my patterned papers were created by me using Adobe Photoshop CS4. My base cardstock is a copper metallic color and my background paper was created by me and then I stamped some leaves on it. I found some Egyptian hieroglyphic paper for my second paper. I used paper from my stash for the third paper and then I created the fourth one and made it similar to my background paper without the leaves. I added two ribbons, two shapes and 1 button. To complete my creation I added some gold stickles glitter glue, turquois pearls, flowers and a button.

Simple Pleasures

Hello again... It is time for this month's week 4 challenge at "There's Magic in the Air". I was selected to be the Guest Designer for this month and here is my inspiration piece. The challenge this week is presented by Patti. Nina provided the image called Simple Pleasures. Patti wanted us to create something using this image with a Birthday Theme. I also decided to enter my creation in "A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge" and their theme is Celebrations. I decided to make a frame for placing a picture from a birthday and I incorporated the image on it. I purchased a paper mache frame from Hobby Lobby and painted it. I colored the image using Adobe Fireworks CS4 and I used one of my stamps of balloons and a sentiment called make a wish. I painted the balloons and candle with acrylic paints. I found this photo of a cupcake with candles and thought this was perfect for Nina's Paper Cupcake Stamps. So what do you think?

I used acetate for the base of my card. The image is from Michelle's Etsy Store called Harmony Mermaid and I colored her using Adobe Fireworks CS4. I used papers from my stash and color box chalks for highlights on the edges. I used Stazon Opaque white ink and colored the centers of the flowers with copic markers. The inside sentiment is also from Michelle Perkett. I added a ribbon and bow to the folded side of my card. To show off my card I used papers that look like water. What do you think?

Serina's First Holy Communion

Hi everyone. My friend is going to a First Holy Communion party this weekend and she couldn't find a card. We went all over looking for one but there were none for little girls so I decided to make one for her. She bought a Holy card which I used for inspiration. Since this card is for a little girl, I wanted to use femine colors so I chose this flower patterned paper. I added some tiny flowers on the front with a few pearls and a sentiment. On the inside I made a pocket for the Holy card and placed it inside. I found a sentiment online and added it to thr right inside. I hope my friend like it.

Mother's Day Keepsake Box

Hello everyone. I have another creation and this one is for Michelle Perkett's Studio Challenge and Cute Card Thursday Challenge. The theme for MPSC is "Mother's Day". The theme for Cute Card Thursday is "Make Your Own".
I used one of Michelle's images called Amore Fairy and colored it using Adobe Fireworks CS4. I used a jewelry box that I had for one of my necklaces and covered the top with papers from my stash. I left the bottom the same color because it was a good match. I added purple lace border around the lid of the box. I made my own flowers by stamping them and then scanning them and saving them as JPEG files. I was able to color them using Fireworks and then made them different sizes. I used embossing powder for the wings and flowers on the image and stickles glitter glue for the handmade flowers and around my image. A sentiment and some leaves completed my creation.

Diary

Hello everyone... I am the Guest Designer for the month of May at "There's Magic In The Air Challenge". Here is my entry for week 1. We were given a sketch to follow and to use one of Nina's wonderful images. I chose an image called Sunday Afternoon and took a blank journal and turned it in to a diary. My papers are from my stash and I colored the image using Adobe Fireworks. I have become spoiled with this software and need to get back to using my copic markers. The homemade flowers and the ribbons were a prize that I won from Nina a few weeks ago. I used my corner punch and added a little glitter for sparkle. A sentiment completed my creation. I am thinking of giving this diary to my granddaughter Maddy because she just started a diary.
